Additional availability required: some Fridays, Saturdays and Tuesdays 

(more flexibility can be given across these days)
Hours are rota’d in advance, and we aim to schedule team members for no more than one weekend day per week when possible. Additional hours may be available to support events.

By day, CELESTE is a speciality cultural coffee shop; by evening, we become a cocktail, wine and tapas bar. We bring together speciality coffee, food, wine and cocktails with influences from Afro-Arab culture (Sudanese and Egyptian), creating a space that’s inviting, curious and a little different.

This is a varied, customer-facing role with responsibility across the whole CELESTE experience.

• Making and serving speciality coffee and other drinks
• Front of house, till operation and customer service
• Preparing and serving cocktails, wine and other beverages
• Food preparation and service
• Opening and closing duties
• Supporting the smooth running of shifts and helping to supervise the team
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and customer service

As this is a supervisory role, applicants must be 18 or over.

• Confident taking responsibility and supporting other team members
• Interested in speciality coffee, wine, cocktails and food
• Open-minded and enthusiastic about learning about and sharing our Afro-Arab culture and the stories behind our menus

You’ll be given the knowledge and training to confidently talk to customers about our coffee, food, wine and cocktails — including their origins, cultural influences and what makes our offerings unique.

Previous hospitality and/or barista experience is essential.

Full training will be provided across all areas of the role, so if you’re enthusiastic about hospitality and want to develop your skills, we’d love to hear from you.
