We are a small cocktail and wine bar, not a restaurant. Our seating area is small, hosting 16-20 seats comfortably. Some people stay for hours, some for minutes - this is why we ask that you order at the bar, and bookings are limited.
This means, bookings do not work for us like a restaurant...some customers stay for hours, some for minutes. Please understand that as a small business, and a very small venue, reserving tables and hoping people turn up can lead to us turning away valuable revenue. Our staff always do their best to get you a table during busy periods.
We do have a limited number of tables available to book, but these are limited to a small number each evening, and require a £20 deposit per table.
Due to the size of our bar, tables of more than 6 will be classed as private hire.
Yes! We limit all booking to our rear seating area. This means, we do our absolute best to keep the front bar seating area open to walk-ins.
We are really passionate about catering for allergies and dietary requirements safely. We have a lot of returning coeliac customers over at our first shop ABDA, Northwich , we make a lot of things ourselves (all of our houmous, green smash, Arabian salsa, seasonings etc.) so we know the ingredients and are able to to control what is going into them.
We do have to let you know that everything is produced in a small area which does handle gluten, wheat, oats and other allergens so there is no 100% guarantee. However, we do our absolute best to keep everything separate. Members of our families have anaphylactic allergies (wheat/gluten and seafood) so we understand the importance of doing our best to avoid cross-contamination, and it is really important to us.
We have two different toasters stored separately (one is 100% gluten free), we use spoons in every Tupperware and separate knives to spread (so nothing is cross-contaminated through touching the bread) and when making things from scratch (including all of our homemade cakes) we dedicate separate kitchen hours where everything has been fully cleaned down and sanitised prior to use for allergen friendly products. Our staff also all undergo allergen training.
We offer four alterntive milks free of charge (almond, coconut, soya and oat). Our oat milk is gluten free, and we also stock gluten free breads, flatbreads and crackers. Most of our menu is available gluten free/vegan!
We also host cuisine evenings over at ABDA where we always cater for allergies, and have a separate business HALA which specialises in celebration/wedding cakes, catering and handcrafted chocolates inclusive of allergies and dietary requirements.
We took the business decision to only accept card payments for two main reasons: firstly, for the safety of our team when cashing up at the end of the night. Secondly, from a business perspective, and as such a small business, to improve our cash flow.
Yes! All well behaved dogs are welcome. Please be mindful that as we are such a small venue, we may have to limit the number of dogs at any one time. We ask that you please keep your dog off our seating benches and soft furnishings.
